Capt. P.D. was born in Charleston, SC. Although he moved to the SC Foothills when he was six, his summers were spent with family in Charleston exploring the tidal creeks. Returning to the Lowcountry full-time in 2008 to attend the College of Charleston, he would graduate in 2011 with a degree in biology. Observing and learning about animals and the surrounding ecosystems has been P.D.’s passion from a young age. In 2012, P.D. would begin an 11-year career in the wildlife removal industry where he would help people get wild animals, such as bats, snakes, raccoons, squirrels and more out of their homes around Charleston. In 2022, P.D. decided to turn his love of being on the water into a profession and went to school to become a captain so he could share his experiences with others.
